故事簡介
在1937年抗日戰爭時期的中國，來自英國擔任美聯社記者的喬治霍格（Jonathan Rhys Meyers飾）冒險進入南京城，親眼目睹了日軍大屠殺中國無辜百姓的殘忍場面，他在震驚中飛快地按下快門，用鏡頭記錄下這一切，深入戰場進行報導，準備向全世界揭露戰爭的真相，卻不幸被日軍俘虜。
後來遊擊隊長陳漢生（周潤發飾）解救了他，霍格在療傷期間被護士麗（Radha Mitchell飾）安排到黃石的孤兒院，那裏有日軍屠殺過後倖存下來的多名性格迥異的孤兒。語言不通的喬治肩負起照顧這些孩子的責任，在黑白兩道通吃的女商人（楊紫瓊飾）幫助下，霍格和孩子們建立起一個新家園。
就在此時，戰爭一步步逼近，為了躲避日本人的屠殺和國民黨的徵兵，霍格和陳漢生等人義無反顧帶領這些孤兒沿著中國的古絲綢之路跋涉千里躲避戰火，他們歷盡艱險，翻越雪山，終於來到沙漠的邊緣，當孩子們生命得到保障時，卻發生令人遺憾的事……

It’s based on the true story of George Hogg, a English journalist that sneaks inside China and really shocks him when he saw what happen there …
Chow Yun Fatt more like a tactical commander who leads the rebellions … and Michelle Yeoh is a trader who willing trade anything for a good price … Seems lonely if you ask me … LOL
Not a very interesting movie if you ask me … it shows more on Hogg’s life on how he educated war orphans and teach them about life and the meaning of it …
Kinda sad at the our hero needs to die from a very common sickness …
