56K phone modem 问题

我安装成功我的56K phone modem 和安装好driver, 当我要用1515连线的时候就出现 error: opening port error, 它叫我查查我的modem 有没有 configure 好， 说什么port is in use by other device。 这是什么问题呢？ 要configure 什么？ 之前我是用streamyx的， 现在要换去1515， 要re-format? 或disable 什么？ 请各位帮忙解答！！ 感恩！！

I think you need to configure your modem port one. . . try check around with modem properties configuration. . .

BTW, ur modem is what brand what modal? USB or serial one?

Why still use dialup?
Broandband is damn cheap now adays …

ya, wat setting need to configure? i check around there, but no idea what i should change, because i never use phone line modem before. The modem is use PCI slots one.

because this pc seldom use, i think once in a week i will use it, so it better to use this 1515 service

先确定你的 tmnet 是不是已经可以用。。

可以用， 我换我的laptop就可以用，但是destop 就不能用了

你的modem有2个cable 的
有没有插对？？

which driver u r using now? i mean auto installed by windows xp or CD provided?

first is auto install, then i thought is driver problem, so i reinstall it by cd one…but same problem come out, it say modem problem, it say device ald in use, so cannot

yr modem is internal or external ?

some of the internal medem u need to configure port…
disable the motherboard com2 port
goto control panel add port ( browse the modem driver cd)
den should be ok lio.

internal modem…ya, i dont know how to configure port…can u explain it more detail…thx~

1st enter CMOS SETTING DISABLE THE COM2 ( plug out the modem 1st, remove all modem driver)
2ND reboot the system…windows should prompt the drver.
